Panna National Park

About Panna

Set across the rugged Vindhya Hills of Madhya Pradesh, Panna National Park is a land where dense forests, dramatic gorges, and the shimmering Ken River come together to create one of India’s most scenic tiger reserves. Recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Panna is celebrated not only for its natural beauty but also for one of India’s most inspiring wildlife conservation success stories, the revival of its tiger population.

Peaceful, raw, and less crowded than many popular parks, Panna offers a safari experience that feels deeply connected to nature.

Panna’s landscape is a striking blend of teak forests, plateaus, river valleys, waterfalls, and open grasslands. The Ken River flows through the reserve, supporting rich biodiversity and adding a unique charm to the wilderness.

The park is home to Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wolves, hyenas, crocodiles, and deer species such as chital and sambar. Over 200 bird species also inhabit the reserve, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.

From misty riverbanks at sunrise to quiet forest trails echoing with bird calls, Panna offers a safari experience filled with both excitement and serenity.
